Gujarat Lions’ Dwayne Bravo has been reprimanded for breaching IPL Code of Conduct during his side’s match against the defending champions Mumbai Indians.

A press release, issued by the IPL, informed about Bravo breaching the Article 2.1.5, while adding that the West Indies player has accepted the charges.

The Windies allrounder was sanctioned by the match referee Chinmay Sharma for showing dissent at an umpiring decision at the Wankhede Stadium.

IPL informed in the press release: In the VIVO IPL match in Mumbai last evening, Dwayne Bravo of Gujarat Lions was reprimanded by the Match Referee for showing dissent at the umpire’s decision.

Mr. Bravo admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction.

The Lions, meanwhile, defeated the defending champions by three wickets in a pulsating encounter, and registered their third successive win in the tournament.

Aaron Finch made an unbeaten 54-ball 67, and held Gujarat’s innings together. He sealed the match for his side by hitting a four off the last ball of the innings.

Bravo, however, was ineffective in the match and made just two runs while batting. He also took a wicket by conceding 39 runs in his four overs.
