Lucknow will soon be having a cricket stadium of its own and international matches could be held in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association is in the process of signing an agreement with a private company, which is involved in making the stadium. “Talks are on and UPCA may sign an MOU with the concerned party,” a source told Drcricket7.
Earlier, UPCA was using Green Park stadium in Kanpur for staging international games. But off late, UPCA had several issue with the local authorities and that led to cancelling a lot of their game.
“If UPCA can enter an agreement with this private company, they can stage their matches in Lucknow itself,” a source added.
UPCS had earlier entered an agreement with a builder in Noida, but the stadium plan didn’t materialise that time.
