After the conclusion of World T20, which was won by the West Indies, the ninth season of the Indian Premier League is set to kick-off from April 9 in Mumbai.
The opening encounter of this year’s IPL will be played between the defending champions Mumbai India, and the newest member of the league, Rising Pune Supergiants.
In a bid to face the defending champions in the tournament opener, the Supergiants head to the field and sweat it out in the practice session in Pune.
Captain MS Dhoni was also part of the session, alongwith other players, such as wicketkeeper Ankush Bains. Dhoni after some warm-up went on to the nets for some batting practice.

The first match of the Indian Premier League 2016 will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, while Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils will lock horns the following day at the Eden Gardens.
