Exceptional bowling from the English bowlers – Kiran More at tea, 2nd Test, day 1

17th July 2014, New Delhi : England will be happy with their performance in the second session as they have been able to send half of the Indian batsmen back to the pavilion. The English bowlers have so far stuck to their plans and have bowled a much disciplined line on a grassy surface, which is continuously testing the Indian batsmen. It is not easy to bat in such conditions especially when the ball is moving both ways on surface that is full of green grass. Most of the Indian batsmen have got out on unplayable deliveries from the English bowlers, be it Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara or Shikhar Dhawan. But this can’t be held as an excuse for the Indian batting downfall. Indian middle order have to introspect their game on this tour as every time their is slight help from the pitch they look vulnerable in their defence.

With Stuart Binny and Ajinkya Rahane still at the crease, India will hope that they are able to get past the 200 mark and thereafter score as many runs for their team. On the other hand, England would not like to lose their grip on the Indian innings who are currently being tested to its swing bowling.
