Every time AB de Villiers scores a century he is cheered and applauded by Indian fans, the same happened at the CCI when the South African scored a magnificent century in the practice match against Board President XI.

AB de Villiers seems to be on a hundred-scoring crusade right now at the Indian soil, as it was his overall fourth hundred on the tour, after scoring three centuries in the ODI series.

It was another AB de Villiers masterclass at display at the Cricket Club of India, as the attacking right-hander scored at almost run-a-ball, while also rescuing his side, when the hosts rattled his team’s top-order.

Like always, de Villiers looked in total control while batting and also constructed a couple of crucial partnerships with Dane Vilas, who scored a solid fifty at the other end.

Earlier, the hosts rocked South Africa in the morning session, as pacer Shardul Thakur was the wrecker-in-chief with four wickets, including two from the last day’s play.

Thakur bowled impressively in the morning session, getting the wickets of Faf du Plessis and Hashim Amla. JJ Yadav, who castled AB de Villiers, was also the pick of the bowlers.

Earlier on Day 1, Board President XI posted 296 on the board, with India opener KL Rahul and wicketkeeper Naman Ojha making a flowing fifties, after Dale Steyn rattled the hosts.
