The international cricket is finally back in Pakistan after a long six years of absence, with Zimbabwe touring the country for a limited-overs series, featuring two T20Is and three one-dayers.

Shahryar Khan, chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is now hoping that other countries, such as India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh should also tour the country.

“Yes, I hope so. There has been a lot of anticipation for this series and we hope it will open doors for more teams to play here in the future,” Shahryar said.

“I firmly believe India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka should give us more support so that we can bring back regular international cricket to Pakistan,” he added.

Shahryar said he is hoping that archrivals India will tour the country soon and added that that he has got good response from BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya.

“We are very hopeful of the tour. I have had fruitful meetings with BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya who is a very good friend of mine, and finance minister Arun Jaitley.”

“I have got a positive response from their front, and we are awaiting a green signal from the government of India,” Shahryar concluded.
