“We were outclassed all around today,” Elton Chigumbura said. “It’s very disappointing. I thought we gave them 10 to 15 runs too many. And also in the second innings, the wicket got dryer and became two-paced. It became difficult to try and play some strokes.”

Zimbabwe’s batting has let them down in the series, as they couldn’t chase the target even once. It was similar chase in the 1sr T20, when Indian bowlers bundled them on a paltry total, in a chase of 179.

“They bowled well, changing the pace. Mainly on the batting side was disappointing,” Chigumbura said. “It doesn’t help when you lose wickets, credit to their bowlers. Important to try and play our best cricket on Sunday and hopefully we get a better result.”

However, it is not only about Zimbabwe batting, but India have also played some good cricket in the series. Bowlers, in particular, have managed to squeeze out narrow wins in the series.

The 2nd T20 would be India’s last game against Zimbabwe on this tour and the Ajinkya Rahane-led side would be wanting to end the tour with a win to remain invincible in the series.
