Australia have lost Aaron Finch to a calf injury ahead of the 1st ODI against Australia. He, however, will stay in India with the team, and could return for the later part of the five-match ODI series, starting this Sunday.
The Aussies, meanwhile, have named Peter Handscomb as his cover for the series. He will be available for selection for the Chennai ODI. Australia will now need to shuffle their top-order in the absence of Finch.

“Aaron re-aggravated his pre-existing calf injury during warm-up at training yesterday,” Team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said. “He has had a scan in Chennai and although we believe it is not a serious recurrence.”
“He will not be available for the first few one-day matches here in India,” he added. “He will remain with the squad whilst we assess the injury and establish his return to play timelines.”
