Sri Lanka are likely to send a depleted squad for the three-match T20 series in India, as most of their star players are nursing injuries at the moment.

Lasith Malinga, Rangana Herath, Angelo Mathews and Nuwan Pradeep are set to miss the T20 series, starting February 9 in Pune.

Malinga, Sri Lanka T20 skipper, is nursing a knee injury, which kept him out of the New Zealand tour, and he needs another few weeks to regain full fitness.

Meanwhile, Mathews is recovering from a groin injury, and he is unlikely to feature before the Asia Cup, starting February 24 in Bangladesh.

Pacer Pradeep and spinner Herath are also recovering from injuries which they sustained in a Premier T20 tournament in Sri Lanka.
