Sony SIX To Broadcast Masters Champions League In Indian Subcontinent

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), has bagged the exclusive rights to the first edition of the Masters Champions League (MCL) that is slated to commence from January 28 next year.

Sony SIX will telecast all the 18 matches of the inaugural edition of the MCL live and exclusive from Dubai and Sharjah to across the Indian subcontinent.

The MCL has recently roped-in MS Dhoni as their brand ambassador for the 18-day league, which will be played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Six teams will take part in the tournament led by an Icon Player and each team has been named after zodiac signs, such as Libra, Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Capricorn and Leo.

The opening rubber of the league will be played between Libra Legends and Gemini Arabians at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Legends like Brian Lara, Muttiah Muralitharan, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Jacques Kallis and Kumar Sangakkara will be competing in the tournament.

The MCL recently launched the official ticket sales of the tournament, with the brand ambassador MS Dhoni giving a special video message to fans.
