The recent Indian Premier League draft saw Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni parting ways, after spending four years together in the Chennai Super Kings, as they would be playing for different teams, come new season.

Jadeja has been roped-in by his home franchise Rajkot, while Dhoni would be playing for Pune, providing fresh challenge to both players. But, for Jadeja the challenge is bigger.

The left-arm spinner Jadeja, who mainly bowls the death, will have the best finisher in the modern ear Dhoni to bowl to in the concluding stage of the innings, when the two teams face each other.

“It’s a big challenge to bowl against Dhoni, particularly in shorter version of the game, as Dhoni has proved himself as a best finisher of the game, but I will do my level best to perform well,” Jadeja said.

Jadeja, meanwhile, is looking forward to play for his home franchise, which picked him as the second choice in the IPL auction. Suresh Raina was the first pick of Rajkot team.

The all-rounder, who is in prodigious form with both bat and ball, is looking forward to play his trade in the Indian Premier League, and continue his fine form.

“It’s a different kind of feeling which cannot be expressed while playing for home team and I hope that I would be doing well in the IPL,” he said.

“I have been selected in the Rajkot team as a good player and there is a chance for me to go further if I could play good cricket in coming IPL season,” Jadeja concluded.
