Team India

After suffering a shock defeat in the World T20 opener against New Zealand, India are finding themselves in a must-win situation in their remaining games.

In the next game, the India will be facing Pakistan, putting extra pressure over the hosts. India, meanwhile, have a spotless record against them in the World Cups.

Captain MS Dhoni admitted that the team will be under pressure in the remaining games, and the next three games are going to be do-or-die contests for them.

“Never played a match where there is no pressure,” MS Dhoni said. “Once you lose the first game, you are in a do-or-die situation. You can’t afford to lose anymore.”

“Even if you lose one you will be out of the tournament,” he added. “Hopefully it will bring the best out of us. We have done it before. Pressure is part and parcel of Indian cricket.”

The hosts will be facing Pakistan on March 19 at the Eden Gardens, followed by matches against Bangladesh and Australia on March 23 and 27, respectively.
