India limited-over skipper, MS Dhoni has been reprimanded for his on-field collision with Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman in the 1st ODI in Mirpur.

Dhoni has been fined 75 per cent of his match fee, while left-arm seamer Mustafizur has been docked with 50 per cent of his fee.

The incident happened in the 25th over when Mustafizur seemed to be obstructing Dhoni, who was scampering for a quick single, and the Indian captain ran into the 19-year-old.

Owing to the impact, Mustafizur left the field to receive some medical treatment and later came back to ripped through India batting order.

Dhoni was running in the right direction, while it was Mustafizur who had blocked the way. Mustafizur also blocked Rohit Sharma’s way, which resulted in a heated argument.

“If I am going around the bowler, more often than not they’ll get the batsman out,” Dhoni said “So either I should have moved to the right or he should have moved to the left but both of us thought maybe the other guy will, but we ended up with a, what you can say, typical kind of a street clash.”
