The Indian Cricket Team is likely to play West Indies in a short bilateral series in August. According to reports, the matches will take place at the Central Broward Regional Park at Lauderhill in Florida.
Team India is currently playing a four-match Test series against the Windies. The series is ending on August 22 at the Port of Spain in Trinidad. There are chances of adding Bangladesh as the third team.
“West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) officials will be meeting in Florida to sort it out,” the report stated. “We are just waiting for the green signal. It’s amber already, you can say.”
“The matches will likely be played over the last weekend of August. It will be peak summer in Florida, and it will be a spectacle. However, there is slight chance of Bangladesh being invited as the third team for a tri-series.”
If the series gets confirmed, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) will send a full strength team to the USA for the T20 series. The likes of MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah and others will travel to the States for the series.
Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and other players in the Test series will join the Indian Cricket Team after the Test series.
