Indian Cricket Team Practices Ahead of First Practice Match

The Indian Cricket Team has hit the ground running for the Test series with their first practice session. India’s tour will start with a two-day practice match at the St. Kitts’ Warner Park today.

Team India is set to face West Indies Cricket Board President’s XI in the first of the two warm-up matches, starting today. Both practice games will take place at the same venue in St. Kitts.

In the first practice session of the tour, Indian team started with some light fitness drills. Then captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, among others, spent considerable time in the nets.

Anil Kumble was seen interacting and giving his inputs to the players during the practice session. The Indian Cricket Team coach also send some throwdowns in the practice session.

A day before, the Indian team rejuvenated itself by spending time at the beach in St. Kitts. The whole team played beach volleyball, and was later seen relaxing at the beach.

The opening match of the Test series will be played in Antigua from July 21, while Jamaica, Gros Islet and Port of Spain will host remaining matches in that order.
