India v Sri Lanka: Full squad list, match timings and venues

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) quickly announced Sri Lanka as a replacement, following an abrupt departure of West Indies team owing to pay dispute with their cricket board.

The Islanders are slated to play five-match ODI series, starting November 2 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. This short tour will start with a practice game between India A and Sri Lankans at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Team India will miss the services of regular skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, as the selectors have decided to give a much-needed break to the Indian captain. Virat Kohli will lead the men in blue in Dhoni’s absence in the first three one-dayers.

There are no major changes in the Indian team, which played against the West Indies as only Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are rested. The Indian board, however, has included Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Aaron in the squad.

Meanwhile, pacer Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the first three ODIs and replaced by Dhawal Kulkarni. Akshar Patel and Amit Mishra are retained in the team, after impressive performances against Windies.
