The pay dispute between Cricket Australia (CA) and Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) has failed to reach on any fruitful agreement. Owing to this, players have boycotted the upcoming ‘A Tour’ against South Africa and India.

Their existing Memorandum Of Understanding expired on June 30. And, Australian cricketers, both men and women, have not have any formal agreement with the Australian Cricket Board now.

The ACA informed in a statement, “It is with great frustration that with no progress towards resolving the current dispute. Australia A players confirm they will not tour South Africa. This decision is made in support of more than 200 male and female players who are now unemployed.”

Cricket Australia informed, “CA regrets that players have made this decision despite progress made in talks between CA and the ACA in meetings over the past week, including regular communication between CEOs.”

The CA, however, insisted that the board is working towards a new MoU. They, meanwhile, have asked the ACA to show “the flexibility clearly now needed to achieve that outcome”.

This MOU problem can affect Australia’s international commitments. Bangladesh will tour Australia next month. India will tour Australia for an ODI series in September, followed by the Ashes in November.
