Yuvraj Singh seems to have realized that scoring runs in domestic cricket is the only way to make a comeback to the Indian squad. And he won’t get a place in Team India merely on the basis of reputation.

Yuvraj has been dropped from India’s 30-member probables for the 2015 World Cup due to his poor form at that time. He was the man of the tournament in the 2011 World Cup.

The left-hander has wasted no time in taking up the challenge. He has scored three consecutive centuries in all the three matches he has played for the Punjab Ranji Trophy team so far. Yuvraj has been able to keep himself motivated at all the domestic matches.

When Yuvraj is in form, he is simply unstoppable. But he takes a long time to come out of the bad patch. Even during the bad patch, he can win a match with his bowling. It is always good to have a player like in the team who has won many matches for India.

If Yuvraj continues to play the way he has been playing for Punjab now, he may have a chance to make it to the World Cup team because there is no rule that if once the squad probables are announced, there can’t be any change.

According to sources, Yuvraj is not giving up hope. “He believes that if he has to quit, he would have done it a long time back. He wants to score runs and nothing else. He is mentally strong to go through the grind once again. It’s an inspiring story,” a friend who has played with Yuvraj says.
