The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) is all set to lose its World T20 matches, according to top sources.

The Indian board has already revealed it to the International Cricket Council that the DDCA won’t be able to stage the World T20 games and its matches for the T20 extravaganza would be divided into the rest of the venues of the tournament.

Sources also said that the BCCI has also informed the DDCA informally and a formal announce to this effect is expected to take place on Monday.

It was also revealed that the IPL matches involving the Delhi Daredevils are also likely to be ruled out of the Feroz Shah Kotla.

“This is a bad news for the cricket fans in the capital,” a source close the development revealed it to DrCricket7 on Saturday.

This also means that the Kotla semifinal of the World T20 will now be allotted to another venue. Going by the importance of the other venues, Mohali or Bangalore could be in the fray for the semifinal venue.

The sources, however, didn’t confirm the names of the possible venue which will be replacing Kotla for the semifinal.
