Batting first on a belter, West Indies posted a mammoth 313 against Scotland and the win was pretty much on the cards, but the associate nation had other plans as they fought till the very end. Chasing a mammoth total, Scotland managed to make 310 in full 50 overs.

Fifties from Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin, along with useful contributions from Dwayne Smith and Darren Bravo propelled to a par-total. But, the Scottish team had other plans, as Kyle Coetzer and Richie Berrington ensured that didn’t surrender the match easily and went down fighting.

In the second practice match of the day, Ireland demonstrated that their World Cup preparations are well on track as they defeated Bangladesh in their final warm-up match at the Blacktown Olympic Park Oval, Sydney.
