Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag recently applied for the prestigious role of India’s head coach with a two-line application. Sehwag was expected to send a resume for the role of India’s head coach where he sent a two-liner CV.
In the letter he wrote, “mentor and a coach of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League and has played with all these (Indian) boys before”. “Sehwag being Sehwag has sent his application in two lines,” said a BCCI source.

“There was no CV attached to it,” he added. “We had to ask him to send his CV too along with his application. After all it will be the first time he is set to appear for the interview”.

Dodda Ganesh, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, and Lalchand Rajput have also applied for this post. Former Australian pacer Craig McDermott had also applied for the post but he missed the deadline.
McDermott was the bowling coach for Australia from 2013 to 2016. BCCI Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) will take the interview. It consists of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.
