Two new members, KL Rahul and Karn Sharma, have been added to the Board President’s XI squad that will take on New Zealand in the warm-up games at CCI, Mumbai. Karn will replace the injured Rahul Chahar.Rahul, who was dropped for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, has been drafted as an additional member in the Board President’s XI side. BP XI will take on the visitors in two warm-up games.

Rahul will now get back into the limited overs side as he has not been in great form.
The Karnataka batsman, leg-spinner Sharma, has also been added to the squad. Sharma has been in great form for India A against the Blackcaps A side.

Dinesh Karthik also has returned to the One-Day International fold for the three-match series against New Zealand. Shardul Thakur and Shikhar Dhawan were also included in the 15-man squad announced, while Rahul, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav were left out.
Karthik, who had last played a one-dayer for India in July earlier in the year against Windies, was not picked for the one-day series against Sri Lanka or Australia. He, is however, was named in the T20 squad for the three-match series against Australia, but didn’t get a game.
