Team India director Ravi Shastri is all set to skip the Indian tour to Zimbabwe due to personal reasons. According to sources, the former Indian captain will join the team before the Sri Lankan series and likely to continue till the World T20 championship.
Source also insisted that he may continue with the team even after the World T20 gets over – depending on the nature of the contract.
The other members of the support staff may also get an extension along Shastri. It was revealed that one of the Indian members from the support staff will be in charge of the team.
Some of the senior crickets from the ODI team have expressed their wish to rest during the Zimbabwe tour. The selectors are scheduled to pick the team on Monday.
