Seeing a batsman stepping out to hit a six off a bowler clocking above 140 case is a rare sight, and it becomes even rarer when it comes down to domestic cricket.

But, when MS Dhoni is batting nothing is impossible, and he displayed his big-hitting prowess in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Delhi at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Dhoni played a gritty innings for his state side, but all his resilience and grit went in vain as Jharkhand lost the match by 99 runs.

The India limited-overs captain, however, entertained the crowd pretty well during his unbeaten 108-ball 70, featuring four mammoth sixes and five boundaries.

Dhoni, who came into bat when Jharkhand were looking down the barrel, after losing the top-order inside 10 runs, tried his best to revive the innings but got no support from the other end.

The early jolts given by Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini proved too much for Jharkhand, and they were never able to recover from them, and got bundled for a paltry 126 in 38 overs.

Dhoni was the lone man fighting for Jharkhand, as the other batsmen crumbled like a cookie in front of experienced and disciplined bowling, and never posed any threat.
