Mohammed Shami may have emerged as the most successful pacer for India in last one year or so, but the one who is making the maximum impact in this World Cup is Mohit Sharma.

He is not only bowling well, but also creating pressure in the opposition camps by maintaining an immaculate line and length.

After then BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel had predicted that Mohit would come good for India in absence of Ishant Sharma, team director Ravi Shastri is the latest to praise the Uttar Pradesh pacer.

“I don’t know about others but Mohit’s performance is at least not surprising for me. I saw him first in England and was impressed with whatever little I saw. And then you have to give it to Mohit as he has utilised his chances to the fullest,” an impressed Shastri told the Indian media on Tuesday.

He the added how Mohit has grabbed waited for the right opportunity to grab his place in the team. “He waited for his opportunity and when he got it, he grabbed it with both hands. In fact I am very proud of our fast bowling unit.

All three bowlers can hit the 140 kmph. It’s sad that we go gaga over opposition bowlers who hit 140’s but not our boys who are equally capable,” Shastri was quoted as saying.
