James Anderson and Stuart Broad showed their new-ball prowess by rocking India early in Vizag. The English seamers dismissed both Indian openers, Murali Vijay and KL Rahul, inside five overs to put the visitors in command.
After early jolts, captain Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara rebuilt the innings for India. They have stitched an unbeaten 70-run partnership for the third wicket. When the lunch was taken, India were 92/2 in overs.

Rahul got out for a duck on his comeback match. He edged one to Ben Stokes at third slip on a ball that he could have left alone. Then Anderson produced a terrific delivery that went to gully, brushing Vijay’s gloves.
The Indian team found itself in a spot of bother, but Kohli (35 not out) and Pujara (37 not out) held their ends firmly. They kept the England team at bay, and insured that no more wickets go down in the morning session.
Earlier, Kohli elected to bat first in Vizag and made two changes in the squad. Rahul replaced opener Gautam Gambhir, while Jayant Yadav replaced Amit Mishra to make his Test debut.
