Kiran More at Tea, Second Day of Lord’s Test

18th July 2014, New Delhi: Team India will be very happy with the way the post lunch session has gone for them. The Indian bowlers have so far managed to send the English team on the back foot , and the story could have been even better for them had Rob Ballance’s edge off a Stuart Binny’s delivery was not missed behind the stumps. However, it’s still not very late for them and they should not look to give any cushion to the English batsmen to build a partnership, otherwise the story could go the Nottingham way.

The Lord’s pitch is not behaving in the same fashion as it did on the first day of the Test and I believe it will only get slower from here on. However, one has to keep in mind that it is the hottest day of the year in London, and there is a great opportunity for the Indian fast bowlers to look for some reverse swing which has been so far not visible in this game.
