Indian Cricket Team Arrives in United States for T20 Series Against West Indies

The Indian Cricket Team has arrived in the United States for playing a two-match T20 series against the West Indies. As many as 11 players are making a comeback into the Indian team, after been rested for the Zimbabwe tour.

MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul are the only players in the current squad that toured Zimbabwe in June.

Most members of the Indian team flew directly to the United States from the Caribbean islands. Captain Dhoni and Bumrah, joined the squad in Miami from India. They were not part of the Test squad.

The two T20s between the Indian Cricket Team and the West Indies will take place in Florida. The 15,000-people capacity Central Broward Regional Park will host back-to-back matches on August 27 and 28.

Team India Miami Heat 1

The Indian team, upon landing, visited the American Airlines Arena, the home of three-time NBA Champions, Miami Heat. They walk through their locker room, team meeting room, gymnasium and recuperation centre.

“It was great fun,” exclaimed India opener Shikhar Dhawan. “I am very happy we could make it here. Exchanging thoughts about how sports has transformed with the latest technology is always good.”

India squad: MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ajinkya Rahane, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Stuart Binny, Umesh Yadav and Virat Kohli.
