The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has opted to postpone the third ODI between India and New Zealand in Kotla. CK Khanna, DDCA vice-president, confirmed that the match has been postponed by a day.

Interestingly, the reason for postponement is not any technical glitch, but ‘Karva Chauth’. The festival was clashing with the Kotla ODI. The 2nd ODI is now pushed to October 20 from October 19.

The DDCA had feared that the tickets sale would take a beating if the match collides with the festival.

“We are thankful to BCCI for accepting our request of shifting the date by a day. I have received a letter of acknowledgement for the same from BACK office,” Khanna confirmed.
