Mahendra Singh Dhoni has time and again reiterated that he is in good shape to play the 2019 World Cup. His form with the bat has also been pretty good lately. He is among the leading run scorers for the Indian team.
The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has said that it will take call on MS Dhoni’s future at an appropriate time.

“We will see, we need to talk on that,” MSK Prasad said to Wisden. We will have to take a decision, let’s see how it goes. We all know who can add value. Again, we will go slot by slot. We should know when to take a call.”
“It’s not that suddenly you take a call and you are nowhere,” the chairman of selectors added. “You can’t be totally unprepared, so we need to be balanced on that aspect.”
