Stephen Fleming on MS Dhoni: His Leadership by Example is Very Strong

MS Dhoni is up against another assignment, making a team from the scratch, with the new Indian Premier League franchisee, Rising Pune Supergiants.

Despite having the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Steve Smith and Faf du Plessis, it is going to be a challenge for Dhoni to find the winning combination in the season.

Meanwhile, the Supergiants coach Stephen Fleming is looking forward for another stint with Dhoni, having spent time with him in the Chennai Super Kings.

Fleming, in an interview with India Today, praised the Captain Cool, saying not only his captaincy, but his leadership skills are also exceptional.

“I love watching Dhoni play. He is a wonderful player,” Fleming said. “People talk a lot about his captaincy but his leadership by example is very strong.”

“That has always been overshadowed with his retirement talks,” he added. “You will know he is a wonderful player if you look at some of the games he has won for his country.”

“Dhoni is pretty cool. I admire his humility, he has done some amazing things for his country,” he further said. “He has won World Cups, he has played some unbelievable innings and led the team extremely well.”
