After convincingly cleansweeping Australia in the three-match T20 series, MS Dhoni has hinted that India’s World T20 squad will remain more or less the same.
India drafting in veterans Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra for the T20 series, while also injecting young blood Jasprit Bumrah into the team.
Both Bumrah and Nehra delivered with both new and old balls, while Yuvraj finished the game in the final T20I, when India were chasing a mammoth total.
“There might be one or two changes based on the conditions in the World T20, but this is roughly what our T20 side will look like,” Dhoni said, after beating Australia.
The Indian captain, meanwhile, credited bowlers for the T20 series win, while praising Bumrah for making an impact right from his inclusion into the squad.
“In the ODI series the batsmen were doing well, we needed the extra 10% from the bowlers,” Dhoni said. “That has changed with Bumrah coming in and others getting their act together.”
