Glenn Maxwell from the Kings XI Punjab received a reprimand for breaching the Champions League T20 Code of Behaviour during his team’s match against the Cape Cobras at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Sunday.

Maxwell admitted to the Level 1 offence (Article 1.2) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings. For Level 1 breaches of the CLT20 Code of behaviour the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.

The Australian all-rounder played a cameo while chasing a moderate total against the Cobras. Maxwell was looking all set to drive the Kings home by hitting Sybrand Engelbrecht for a maximum but was castled by the off-spinner in the same over.

Maxwell was left fuming after the dismissal and on his way to the dressing room was captured kicking on the equipment near the Kings XI dugout. The Kings XI ended on a winning note but it did not fare well for Maxwell.

The Australian all-rounder, Maxwell, however, come with a hilarious reply after been reprimanded and tweeted, “Apologies to the fans for my trash can abuse. I had a long chat with the trash can afterwards and we’re on good terms now.”
