Indian team skipper Virat Kohli becomes the fastest player to score 16,000 runs in International matches leaving behind South African player Hashim Amla. Kohli achieved this score in just 350 innings surpassing Hashim Amla’s 363 innings.
However, the men in blue are playing the third and decider test match of the series against Sri Lanka Cricket Team at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi.

This achievement was made on his home ground Delhi. Kohli also smashed 52nd International century. He has also become the fastest leaving behind Hashim Amla’s record of 378 innings. The skipper has also equaled the record of 11 International hundreds in a year.
Moreover, Kohli has become the 1st Captain to score a hat-trick of centuries in 3 successive test matches. (104 at Kolkata followed by 213 in Nagpur and now 156 in Delhi).
