After a disappointing Test series, Team India bounced back in their one day warm up game against Middlesex by defeating them by 95 runs. Virat Kohli ( 71) and Ambati Rayudu ( 72) scored half-centuries for India, before the Indian innings was restricted to 230 runs in 44.2 overs.

However, defending a modest total, the Indian bowlers pitched in with a team effort with young leggie Karn Sharma picking 3 wickets for only 14 runs in his 4.5 overs. The Indian bowlers gave their team a perfect start by clinching the wickets of both the openers in the first three overs itself.

After initial blows from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami, Middlesex never got into the game and lost wickets at quick intervals. Every Indian bowler except for R Jadeja picked a wicket each before Karn Sharma wiped off the tail.

Middlesex lost their six wickets for only 101 runs and could only manage 135 runs iin their innings which got restricted in only 39.5 runs.

The victory will be a consolation and a great morale boost for team India considering most of their players struggled in the recently concluded Test series against England, and with their main stay Virat Kohli getting some runs in this warm-up game it will be the biggest achievement for Team India from this game.
