The Indian captain Virat Kohli continued his scintillating run with the bat. He struck his fourth Test double-hundred in as many series to break another record. India now racing towards a massive total in Hyderabad.
Kohli proved unstoppable for Bangladesh on Day 2 also. It was until Taijul Islam trapped him right in front to give Bangladesh some respite. Still, when Kohli departed, the Indians were looking atleast 600-plus in the first innings.

Islam was Bangladesh’s most successful bowler with three wickets. Taskin Ahmed and Mehedi Hasan took one apiece. Before the stroke of tea, India were at 55/5, with Ravichandran Ashwin and Wriddhiman Saha batting.
