South Africa will have to gear-up for another spin challenge when they take on India in the 3rd Test of the four-match series in Nagpur, from November 25.

Like the Mohali pitch, the Nagpur track is also supposed to assist spinners and that’s not a good news for the touring party.

“The pitch for the Nagpur Test is going to be a turning track for sure,” a source told Drcricket7. “Authorities are working towards it.”

With India already one-up in the series, the 2nd Test in Bangalore was South Africa’s best chance to level the series.

An unseasonal rain hampered the Karnataka Cricket Association’s plan to prepare an out-and-out dry and slow pitch, which South Africa could have used to its advantage.

As expected, Hashim Amla and his team couldn’t make much of an impact in the first essay of the Bangalore Test.

The damage in the minds of the South Africans after the Mohali Test loss was so intense that none of their batsmen, other than AB de Villiers, could do little in the middle.

Now that Nagpur Test becomes another challenge, it’s going to be a Himalayan task for the visitors to win a Test match from here on.
