Both Alastair Cook and Rob Ballance have been patient in their innings and this partnership is looking good for the home team and will worry Team India from here on. Both batsmen have so far contributed 131 runs for the second wicket and if they both get their individual centuries in this inning, then it will immensely boost the morale of the home team. This partnership can help send a positive message in the English dressing room as they came into this match low in confidence after their loss at Lord’s.
On the other hand, it will be key for the Indian fast bowlers to perform in the absence of Ishant Sharma as he was the senior most bowler in this team and his experience will be definitely missed from the other end.
