21st July 2014, New Delhi : After a frustrating long morning session, India finally managed to get the important breakthrough in form of Moeen Ali just before the lunch.This will be a crucial wicket for Team India as both Mooen Ali and Joe Root posed a serious threat to their winning plans after being involved in a century run partnership. More importantly, there will be a new batsman at the crease, and it will give India another chance to take a wicket as it is not easy for a new batsman to come in and starting scoring runs.
The pitch is clearly assisting both the spinners and fast bowlers with its odd bounce and pace, and this is something which will go into India’s favor.
India has to ensure that there is no further partnerships from the English batsmen in the next session as the home team is just 146 runs behind India’s total. It seems that Lord’s Test will go down to the wire and it will be interesting to see how the next session pans out to be.
