The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced the schedule of Australia’s tour of India. Australia will play four Test matches in February-March against Virat Kohli’s men. The series will also end India’s long season at home.
Pune’s MCA Stadium will host the opening match of the series, followed by a game in Bengaluru. The third Test will take place in Ranchi, while Dharamsala will host the last match of the tour.
India last hosted Australia in 2013. They whitewashed the Australians 4-0 under MS Dhoni. The Indian team will be hoping for a similar result, as Australia’s recent run in the sub-continent is not convincing.
They were hammered by Sri Lanka recently in three Tests. The Australian team is needing some serious improvement particularly in the batting department to tackle India’s spinners.
