After a lot speculations and dramas, the Indian Cricket Team has finally got a new head coach in Ravi Shastri. Not only that Shastri has also managed to retain his old support staff, Bharat Arun and Sanjay Bangar, in the team.

India’s Test wicketkeeper, Wriddhiman Saha has praised Shastri after his appointment. The Bengal wicketkeeper termed Shastri “a very positive coach” and also praised his man-management skills.

“He is a very positive coach,” Saha pointed out. “When he was team director, he always used to tell us to back our strengths and not be defensive. Whether it’s Ravi bhai or Anil bhai, both will want the team to do well.”

“We also want that as players. Now every coach has it own way of giving inputs,” he added. “That is to be seen. Our job is to perform on the field. I don’t think changing of coaches will make much of a difference.”

India’s upcoming tour to Sri Lanka will be Shastri’s first assignment as the new head coach of the Indian team. The Indian team will be playing three Tests, five one-dayers and a one-off T20.
