Rumeli Dhar to Replace Injured Jhulan Goswami

The All-India Women’s Selection Committee has named Rumeli Dhar as the replacement for injured Jhulan Goswami. Ms. Dhar will join the Indian Women’s Team for the remaining three T20Is against South Africa Women.

 Goswami had suffered an injury to her heel ahead of the first T20I. On Friday, India Women registered a nine-wicket win in the second match and now lead the T20I series 2-0.

Indian women team is taking over the world cricket. India, chasing the South African total of 142/7 in 20 overs, coasted to victory (144/1 in 19.1 overs) thanks to half-centuries from Smriti Mandhana (57) and Mithali Raj (76 n.o) at Buffalo Park in East London. Earlier, Anuja Patil and Poonam Yadav took two wickets each to help India restrict South Africa to what turned out to be a below-par score. Sune Luus top-scored for SA. India have taken a 2-0 lead in the series with the victory. In the opening match of the series, Mithali Raj scored an unbeaten 54 runs off 48 deliveries to lead the visitors to a seven-wicket victory over South Africa at Senwes Park on Tuesday.
