Rohit Sharma Ruled Out For Atleast Three Months

Rohit Sharma is likely to miss the entire England’s tour to India because of a upper quadriceps injury. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) in a statement informed that Rohit is sidelined for atleast 10 to 12 weeks.

The BCCI also said that the batsman might have to undergo a surgery, and will consult the doctors in London. Rohit sustained the injury during the last one-dayer against New Zealand in Vizag, last week.

Official statement from the BCCI:

The BCCI medical team confirms that India batsman Rohit Sharma sustained an injury on his right upper quadriceps tendon during the fifth & the final game of the five-match Paytm One-day series against New Zealand in Vizag.

He will travel to London early next week for a specialist consultation with the possibility of undergoing surgery. As a result of which he may miss at least 10 to 12 weeks of cricket. The BCCI medical team will extend all support to Rohit Sharma to regain full fitness and further contribute to Indian Cricket.
