MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli share a great raptor both on and off the field. The Indian cricket team captain is someone who has always supported Kohli since he made his debut for the senior side in 2008.
The Indian limited-overs captain recently showered praise over Kohli. Dhoni termed him someone, who always wants to improve as a player. He added that Kohli is always working to take his game one notch higher.
“Virat has been fantastic over the years; if you see what really counts is how you can improve your game,” Dhoni said. “Right from the very first game that he played for India, he is somebody who always wanted to improve.”
“He always wanted to contribute in the team’s win and by contribution it was not a small,” the Indian captain added. “He always wanted to be the Man of the Match in those terms.”
The Indian captain also pointed out Kohli’s top-level fitness, and his ability to read the game.
“I feel that he was always pushing himself when it comes to fitness,” Dhoni pointed out. “Reading of the game, execution of his plans I feel that’s what makes him very special.”
