MS Dhoni’s recent purple patch with the bat has ended any speculations of him playing the 2019 World Cup. He has cemented himself at number 5, and played a number of crucial innings for the Indian team lately.
Meanwhile, Michael Clarke has not only backed Dhoni to play the 2019 World Cup, but also the 2023 edition of the tournament. He said that Dhoni has necessary skill and fitness to last till the 2023 World Cup.

“Don’t ask me whether he will play in the 2019 World Cup,” Clarke said on a lighter note. “He will play in 2023.”
Dhoni is currently playing at the heart of the India’s batting. In the last game against Australia, he played a match-winning. He also stitched a crucial partnership with Hardik Pandya to swung the momentum in India’s favour.
