Kevin Pietersen has lashed out at England selectors in a series of tweets after England cricket team’s embarrassing defeat in the 2nd Ashes Test inside four days.

England’s defeat in the 2nd Ashes Test was termed a complete surrender from the Alastair Cook-led side, as the five-match series is now locked at one game apiece.

The hosts now have a lot to think about the playing XI and approach toward the game, as the 3rd Ashes Test is slated to commence on July 29 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Pietersen, who recently played in the Caribbean Premier League for the St Lucia Zouks, tweeted that it is not making any sense he is sitting in Miami when England team is struggling.

Kevin Pietersen Twitted: Deep in thought right now…ridiculous that I’m lying on a beach when I should be in UK prepping for the 3rd Test! So silly really! Sad!

Pietersen is in a good touch lately, as he scored heavily in the County Cricket, still was ignored for the New Zealand series, which ended in a draw.

It is unlikely Pietersen would be added into the England squad for the 3rd Ashes Test, seeing his stalemate with the England Cricket Board (ECB).

Kevin Pietersen Twitted: Batting as well as ever & the team have huge issues with top order! What a waste, just lying on a beach! I wish I could help!

Pietersen was dumped from the England team, following last Ashes debacle in Australia and since then the former skipper has been struggling to get back into the squad.

Andrew Strauss has recently said that there are ‘massive trust issues’ between Pietersen and England and Wales Cricket Board and there is no place for him in the side.
