Deepti Sharma with Mithali Raj scored fifties, as Indian eves registered another win in the Women World Cup 2017. This is their fourth successive win in the tournament, as they are now one step closer of reaching the semis.
India defeated Sri Lanka in a hard-fought match. They posted a 232-run total on the board and then restricted the Islanders to 216. The Lankans, however, gave a tough fight through Shashikala Siriwardena and Dilani Manodara.
Siriwardena and Manodara added 60 runs to keep Sri Lanka in the hunt. But, eventually the total turned out to be too much for them. Poonam Yadav (2-23) also delivered a stellar spell of bowling under pressure.
