A knee injury has forced Amit Mishra out of the upcoming one-off Test against Bangladesh. The selectors have named young spinner Kuldeep Mishra as Mishra’s replacement. This is his maiden India call.
Mishra didn’t train with the Indian team on Tuesday in Hyderabad. The Indian team’s medical staff has advised him rest. He will undergo further medical assessments now.

BCCI in a statement informed: “The All-India Senior Selection Committee have named Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian squad as the replacement for Amit Mishra, who is injured, for the one-off Test match against Bangladesh.”
“Mishra has been ruled out of the match after he sustained a knee injury while fielding in the Bengaluru T20I match against England. He has been advised rest and will undergo further medical examination.”

Kuldeep, meanwhile, impressed in his recent India A outings. He also played the practice match against Bangladesh at Gymkhana Ground, Hyderabad. And, also named for the practice match against Australians.
The Indian team already have three spinners, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jayant Yadav, in the squad. Yadav, recently proved his fitness by playing for Haryana in domestic competitions.
