The Indian team might include pacer Mohammed Shami for the 4th Test against Australia. Shami seemed to have recovered from the knee injury he sustained against England. The 4th Test will take place in Dharamsala.

Shami recently proved his fitness in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final for Bengal. He bowled eight overs and picked four wickets in the final. A source informed that team physio will take a call on Shami’s fitness for the series decider.

“The selectors will receive the report on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and then take a call on Shami,” the source said. “He is progressing well and showed no signs of discomfort in the Vijay Hazare final.”

Shami, recently, bowled in the nets during a practice session in Ranchi. The team management is closely monitoring Shami’s fitness, as he has a knack of breaking down mid-series.

“We sent him to play because we saw him bowling 10-12 overs in a go and we wanted to give him some match practice so. I don’t know about his selection,” Kohli said. “I haven’t spoken to the selectors still.”

“There are all kinds of possibilities approaching the next Test,” he added.
