India Squad: BCCI to pick Team India for Australia Test series on November 4

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to pick Team India on November 4 for the Test series, according to reports. Team India is to play four-match Test series Down Under, starting December 4 in Brisbane, before playing an ODI tri-series also featuring England.

The selection panel of the BCCI will meet on 1:30 pm at Cricket Centre to pick the squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. A BCCI source added that the Indian team will leave for the series on November 21.

Team India will also play a couple of two-day practice games against Cricket Australia Invitational XI in Adelaide to get accustomed to the conditions. The Test matches will be played in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Australia tour will by no means is going to be easy, as when the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side last visited the continent nation, they faced 4-0 drubbing in the whites and also failed to reach the final of the tri-series, with Sri Lanka being the third team.

Before the Australia tour, Team India is to face the Islanders in a five-match ODI series, starting November 2. The first ODI will be played Cuttack on November 2, while Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ranchi will host the remaining one-dayers.
